1-2-4 Trine: One coin well spent is worth a thousand coins dreamed.
This is a practical Trine.
When it occurs, you are being told two things… Mind your P’s and Q’s and yet don’t be too confined by the patterns of your past.
It is a fortunate aspect for money, but not for Love.
When this Trine is affecting you, you may feel a need to hoard things, be it money, ideas or possessions. If this is happening to you it indicates you are being closed to new ideas and/or interactions with others.
The 1-2-4 Trine:

This is a practical Trine. When it occurs you are being told two things… Mind your P’s and Q’s and yet don’t be too confined by the patterns of your past. It is a fortunate aspect for money, but not for Love… At least not until you allow your more “Avant-garde“ self out of the bag.
However, not many can get past their personal barriers and the effect of this Trine tends to make people insular. When this Trine is affecting you, you may feel a need to hoard things, be it money, ideas or possessions. If this is happening to you it indicates you are being closed to new ideas and/or interactions with others.
So often we use “things” to protect us from a one to one connection
with life. You may be using poetry and personal writings as a way out of your own “mind trap”. As a release from the internal pressures you feel, this is a positive outlet for you.
You may feel a calling to the arts as both a lifestyle and profession. This is a curious energy, often attracted to, and at the same time repelled by, the open sexuality of the creative types. You may go wild, become a librarian, or combine both and end up being the accountant for a firm that represents the entertainment industry!
The negatives are a need to control, while at the same time becoming voyeur of the impractical and wild, rather than letting go and being your genuine sense.
The 1-2-4 Trine is significant. You will usually have a deep, craving need for comfort, but little desire to work for this. This can be quite a selfish energy in this respect. At a deeper aspect, this “need for comfort” is often a need for parental love. If you can learn to rise above your own needs you will find the selfish thing completely reverses and you will be capable of much caring and sharing.
If you do not manage to get over the hurdle or yourself, you will
tend to wander around with beer pockets and champagne tastes for a while.
Curiously, if there is a strong connection with the Number Three in some way or other, this can make the effect of this Trine far more pleasant. The Three aspect will increase the ability to outflow thoughts and feelings, as well as increasing the ability to look after themselves.
Generally the 1-2-4 Trine is considered an unfortunate aspect. The often selfish nature of the One, the indecision of the Two, and the need for security of the Four can combine in an unpleasant arrangement... However it has a complete reversal of energy when the individual rises above self interest and self fear, and learns to share openly with life.
In its positive aspect we would see strength of character (One), appreciation of art and beauty (Two), and a solid, methodical approach to things (Four) combine in a practical “Let’s get it done” way of thinking. For the positive nature to emerge you simply need to be genuinely confident within yourself. So, the message is often to simply focus on your CONFIDENCE. Build up the confidence, gather your dignity, and approach life head on. If you can do this,
the 1-2-4 Trine augurs well for you.
