The Oracle
The 1-3-8 Trine: Be wary of Gifts and Promises. There is usually a Hidden Cost.
This is a powerful aspect for developing a penetrating insight into the ways of mankind, for it combines the essence of the "Law of Three's" with the concept of Harvest, or of reaping what you sow.
Put your focus on creating solutions, of building, and great fortune will come your way.
The 1-3-8 Trine:
Be wary of Gifts and Promises.
There is usually a Hidden Cost.
This is a powerful aspect for developing a penetrating insight into the ways of mankind, for it combines the essence of the "Law of Three's" with the concept of Harvest, or of reaping what you sow. Put your focus on creating solutions, of building, and the negative aspects of this Trine will be negated.
This Trine is as easily availed towards the negative as it is the positive, and so you must take great care with your thoughts and deeds. You may find yourself at a crossroads of choosing either moral or immoral behaviour.
You may come to understand A-Moral is closer to truth and then you find the view of the Wiccan when he/she says “Do no harm”. When you are attuned to your own natural rhythms, you will develop a quiet observance of the ways of people, and a calm attitude towards life and things in general.
It is a “neither for nor against” sense that you would do best to achieve. To be amoral is more of our natural state. Children simply live as they are and if we can emulate this, but add a depth of observance about human nature, we will go far in an understanding of our personal Truth.
This Trine can be compared to the Trojan Horse. After a long period of struggle, we may wake to find a gift at our door, and in the joy of ending the battle we receive it with open arms… But what are the strings tied to the gift? In this instance, look the gift horse in the mouth. The question here is “Who are you associating with?”
Right Association is highlighted with this aspect.
Look to bring people who are good at communicating into your life, and you will benefit greatly from this. Also, look to form associations with people who have definite goals and aspirations. Most importantly, associate with people who are survivors, not social talkers or dreamers.
These people may be abrasive, callous and dis-passionate, but they will give you what you need. The reason for this is simply that the world has tilted too far to the “social consciousness” or the way of thinking that all have to be equal, and that the weak need to be supported. This is wrong, the weak need to work harder in order to build up their strength.
Work towards financial ability, and the acceptance of responsibility. This is NOT a specifically compassionate energy, but you will find that when you achieve stability in the areas of emotion, mind and finance that you will want to give back to the community.
Nelson Rockefeller the Second is a classic example… He made millions, then spent his life spending it on good works that helped everyone. Rather than feeding the poor, he built them libraries, so they could learn to feed themselves.
There is a tendency to want to control things. This control pattern is rarely in balance, and is NOT a helpful attitude for you. Control breeds control, and this defeats naturalness. Being natural is the overall goal of this aspect. I recommend that you forget Mind Control techniques and the idea of “making it happen”.
Seek instead to listen to the pulse of life as it moves about you, and rely on your instinctual senses when dealing with people and things.
This Trine could be said to allow great progress, but few will rise above the difficulties presented because they have not learned to work in a non-judgemental way with their fellows.
This judgemental nature arises generally because you have a lack of Trust in your own instincts. You use judgement as a form of protection. Because we do not listen to our instincts, we tend to walk into the mental and emotional snares, or conditions, of other people.
Again, look those gift horses in the mouth.
You will generally possess a sense of being superior in some way, and you must be careful of becoming vain and spiteful when you prove to yourself that you are right. Arrogance is something you will be accused of, often wrongly, but learn to modify your way of communicating and this reaction from others will lessen.
Even so, people will be attracted to your strength of mind and heart, but be careful of followers… They are worse than salesmen because they come promising eternal devotion, but if you do not fulfil their wishes as they believe you should (For whatever reason) they become eternal critics of your slightest faults.
All in all, this is a powerful aspect where much good can come of the events of your life. Still, you will do best to always remember your Motto: Look that Gift horse in the mouth. Give yourself the room internally to be yourself, and all will be well.
