The 1-6-8 Trine:

To Find Your Personal Truth You

Must Walk through Many Storms.

Can you conquer your fears and rise above the niggling voice of your shame and regret? Beyond your beliefs about yourself, there is the real you. Beyond your fears about you and the society you live in, there is the greater reality and purpose at work.

Beyond, far beyond, the conventions and attitudes of your personal and societal views, there is Soul. Can you Grasp the Nettle and rise above your fears so that you may look at yourself as Soul?

You may feel that you need to rebel against authority in this cycle, but the need to argue with others really comes from the pieces not fitting inside yourself. In all, there is a broad energy that wants to expand the inner horizon of YOU, but your own sense of fearful intolerance can be very damaging to your own aspirations, be they spiritual, political or personal. An internal struggle, an almost fervent desperation for the chance to be oneself marks this Trine.

Intuition (Six), Willpower (One) and Karma (Eight) all vie for the right to rule you, and this generally makes life extremely difficult. Only when you stop and focus your life on practical observations and fundamental principles will this internal clamour come into order. So… What are these?

The true principles of each person are stamped on them at birth ... These “stamps” are hallmarks of the personal consciousness that are easily seen by the observant Soul. And yet so often we are driven by these “marks” unknowingly. Only when we see what is the obvious in our self will these become visible to our own eyes.

There is a need to find a Mentor or teacher who can show us our own truth. We need to also ask "What is obvious here?" every step of the way. Learning to see the obvious is an Art you are destined to learn, so why not start right now?

In the negative value this aspect can become the opposite to this… This is a blind adherence to ritual and dogma handed down to the individual, while in the positive it becomes a deep and lucid questioning of where one's priorities and beliefs truly lie.

There is an ascetic martyrdom associated with this Trine, with a need for others to recognize the trials and tribulations of your growth. Perhaps you have a "Look how good I am because I am suffering" attitude? This passes as the Soul matures and realizes that happiness is based on enriching ourselves, not on personal deprivation or outside approval.

As the energy of this Trine strengthens you may find an acerbic wit, sometimes a sarcasm, can overtake your sense of what is "correct" in a given situation. This offends some, if not many, depending on circumstance.

Other people will find you outrageously funny. Overall, as the energy grows, you will become more polarized and as this occurs you will polarize others. On one hand this helps break down the barriers of the social do's and do not's inside yourself, yet on the other it can leave you feeling isolated.

Take care not to drive away those who care for you. Even so, a state of “alone” is essential for the development of the genuine self reliant Soul. This True Self is the source of the independence you need.

Trust is a big lesson here, specifically trust in the higher power within yourself, but before this can unfold you must make a conscious decision to get to understand your own inner workings. This is best done through some outer assistance. Finding a guide or teacher to answer your questions is often the last thing you will want, but it is often what you need.

It is a slight paradox that the truly independent thinkers often come from strict, sometimes puritanical paths which require unwavering discipline and service. I do not advocate you joining a strict “cult” but do recommend reading up on other spiritual paths. If you want to make some sense of your own potential, look for clues in those who have travelled the spiritual path before you. If you can develop a strong self discipline doors will open for them.

Your truth will come through the ways you survive the storms and tempests. This brings you to your motto: The mariner is not tested in the harbour.
