ONE represents the primitive and basic elements within man. It is a dynamic, active force, yet as the number implies, somewhat solitary. One's are sober, single minded, blunt and pointed in opinion. The characteristic of the One Energy is singularity and so we find those affected by this vibration to be single minded. Like a tree growing in nature, the energy here only knows that to survive it must grow, and so the One Energy tends to push all others aside and demand it’s rights.
Or it is the exact opposite. The roots do not go down, the growth never happens, and the One energy feels utterly bereft and alone. This is why the One energy often yearns for others to rule, it gives a sense of being “rooted” and removes their deepest fear: stagnation and decay.
Generally, those strongly affected by the One are slow to anger, but they are fiery by nature, and like a volcano that has been dormant for years they can suddenly explode. The One personality very much wants things done their particular way, and can be capable of a very great anger and resentment when opposed by those they consider underlings.
One's can thus be unstable and unpredictable, acting (like a volcano or any force of nature) as an undirected, singular minded force for change.
Naturally the reverse for all of this is also true. In particular emotionally undeveloped One's can be irreconcilably stubborn, dogmatic and unchanging, often to the point of disbelief.
The One is very single minded about most things, and will barge on regardless of opinion or criticism. Indeed, opposition only encourages them! The parent of a One child with an opinion must either: learn to divert attention to more favourable subjects, be very interested in what their little One has to say, or suffer the very loud consequences.
The psychology of the One vibration is subject to an odd paranoia, a sense that everyone is "out there" while the individual is inside a system that needs change. This creates a sort of tightrope effect, and a specific sense of single mindedness, to the point of excluding all that does not conform to their own set of values. If you do not agree, you are wrong.
One women can be very career minded, and sometimes brutal in their desire for the top post. It is not the job but the need for recognition that drives them. Yet these same women will be devoted mothers wanting to spoil their children with every luxury. The One women cannot stand "fluffery" and resent insecure men who beat about the bush, yet so often they will marry someone just like this. Why? Often it is simply because they feel secure when they are in charge.
They will be practical, frugal and considerate, or the complete opposite. Rarely will the One woman be the quiet stay-at-home type. Yet if she is, she will be VERY quiet, and will probably have agoraphobia.
The same goes for the men, though as a rule in business the One man seems a touch more diplomatic and less ruthless. The One male will love outdoors, sports, fishing and all sorts of active "life" games that also allow a certain solitariness. If they play in a team, they like to be the leader, or at least a star player, and the same goes for their business life.
You will often find a One man at the top of the organization, and also find them surrounded by men and women who are Two’s and Fives. This is because Two's and Fives have an appreciation of diplomacy that the more blunt One cannot stand, but recognises a need for.
This is a powerful number, and works as a cohesive driving force to accomplish, or a very divisive force to divide. Any effort that invokes a combination of creative effort, practical success, and physical ability needs the One energy, for this will be the glue that holds it all together.
One's are the movers and the shakers, yet without the courage of their convictions the One denigrates to the most unemployable type imaginable. Drug addiction, welfare dependence, and an almost total lack of drive indicate the inverted One energy at work.
Its opposite is the Nine, the representative number of silence and power.
Here a curious fact emerges, which is an odd circumstance of the Noumenal Order, and this is that is we are to master the vibration of one number, we must also master the vibration of its opposite. As an example: If someone falls into the negative energy of the One, the solution is to silence the mind and rediscover their own inner power.
If the One individual chooses to work with inner silence as their guiding light they will find life will smooth out considerably for them. What is most opposite to us is also what we are most connected to. This why so many married couples seem to be in complete opposition to each other. It is a natural balance of nature at work.
The main lessons for the One are Courage and Patience.
